Reheat Furnace & Processing Lines other main product
sector is Aluminium where it supplies melting and holding
furnaces, homogenizing and coil annealing furnaces and
idex decoaters for aluminium scrap processing. This has
been done under the License Agreement with SOLIOS THERMAL

SOLIOS THERMAL
have a worldwide reputation for the supply of aluminium
melting and holding furnaces. Round top, static and tilting
furnaces have been supplied around the world by SOLIOS
THERMAL for a wide range of melting processes; from clean
production scrap remelting and primary ingot remelting
to contaminated scrap, UBC's only swarfs and extrusion
scrap.SOLIOS THERMAL are at the forefront of aluminium
melting technology providing "state of the art"
door designs for reduced maintenance and reliable operation,
regenerative burner systems and advanced software based
operator and management automisation systems for efficient
production. |

| Coil
Annealing Furnaces |
 |
| Whether
coil or foil, SOLIOS THERMAL have arguably led the
world in technologically advancing the performance
and reliability of annealing furnaces. Using sophisticated
finite element analysis, SOLIOS THERMAL can accurately
model the temperature profile within coil and foil
for any given production profile. As a result of
computer modelling SOLIOS THERMAL have developed
their Jet Impingement technique for uniform rapid
heating of coils. This has substantially reduced
total cycle times, thus increasing customers productivity.
With a wide range of heating options available from
radiant tube (gas/oil) or electric, your requirements
can be fully satisfied. |

Many years
of experience have provided SOLIOS THERMAL with
a highly productive and reliable design of slab
pusher furnaces. Computer modelling of slab heating
profiles combined with rapid heating techniques
has put SOLIOS THERMAL at the frontiers of slab
pusher designs. Reliable slab handling and pushing
systems enhance the furnace performance even further.
Exclusive designs of the rail system and slab support
shoes means excellent long term reliability combined
with low maintenance. SOLIOS THERMAL can discuss
your project and provide a system to match your
expectations in full, ultimately providing you with
the optimum shoe pusher solution. |

| Homogenising
Furnaces |
 |
| SOLIOS
THERMAL has been supplying homogenising furnaces
for more than 30 years and have developed their
designs to meets industry demands enabling them
to offer some of the most technically advanced homogenising
furnaces available. Whether you choose gas, oil
or electricity as the heating medium, you can be
assure of the high performance levels from SOLIOS
THERMAL. Recuperation is a normally standard feature
for gas and oil burners, where energy costs are
relatively expensive. Heat head operation maybe
employed with SOLIOS THERMAL homogenising furnaces
giving faster heat up times and thereby reduce cycle
times. |

SOLIOS
THERMAL provide the most technologically advanced
Automated Direct Chilled Casting equipment worldwide.
Whatever mould system you choose, this can be fully
integrated into the SOLIOS THERMAL D.C. Casting
Machine. SOLIOS THERMAL provides machines with internally
guided cylinders which ensure straightness, derived
from minimal deflection during the entire drop length.
Custom Casting Systems are produced to meet your
requirements; whether for billet or ingot. Combined
with SOLIOS THERMAL "AUTOCAST" system
you are assured of reliability and continued performance.
Turnkey solutions are available for complete cast
shop projects. |

| Decoating
Systems |
 |
| The
world's leading decoating technology, the IDEX²
System, is a rotary kiln based thermal delacquering/drying
system that removes organic materials such as paints,
oils, plastic and rubber from the surface of aluminium.
In most kiln systems there are two main parts. The
first is the rotary drum where the scrap material
is heated with recirculated gases to remove the
organic coatings by a process of volatilisation.
The liberated organics are then carried by the gas
stream into the afterburner where their energy is
released by combustion. This off-sets the energy
supplied to the system by the gas burner and makes
the system thermally efficient. |
